Credit: Sainuddeen / Adobe Stock Clyde & Co has opened its second office in Saudi Arabia with the launch of an operation in Jeddah.Corporate and advisory partner Mohammed Almarzouki, a licensed lawyer in Saudi Arabia, a qualified solicitor in England and Wales, and an attorney in the State of New York, will lead the new office. He joined Clyde & Co in 2023 has been advising Saudi and multinational corporations and family businesses in Jeddah for over 10 years.Ranked the largest international law firm in the Middle East in Law.com International's Middle East Top 30, published this week, Clyde & Co. became the second such outfit to win a licence under the kingdom's Regional Headquarters (RHQ) Programme earlier this year.The Jeddah team also includes Lamisse Bajunaid, an expert in Clyde & Co's intellectual property, technology, and commercial group, who has over a decade of experience advising international, regional, and local entities in Saudi Arabia, the firm said in a statement.According to Law.com International research, Al Tamimi & Co., Dentons, Baker McKenzie and Ashurst are the only other Top 30 Middle East-based firms to have offices in Jeddah, the trading capital of Saudi Arabia.Sara Khoja, partner and chair of Clyde & Co's Middle East and Africa Board said the new office would enable the firm to offer Jeddah-based conglomerates access to a local team to support their growth, with full access to a global network of over 60 offices."The kingdom continues to be an important part of the firm's regional development plan and our broad offering provides clients with an integrated approach in two of the biggest markets in Saudi Arabia.
