Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Kirkland & Ellis and Eversheds Sutherland have scored roles as private equity firms Warburg Pincus and Temasek buy the U.K. insurance company Specialist Risk Group for over £1 billion.

Specialist insurance intermediary SRG, which was previously backed by another private equity group HCCG, launched in 2020 and currently employs over 600 people. The deal is yet another example of major, mostly U.S.-originating private equity firms securing U.K. assets. On Monday,  Swedish private equity giant EQT made £2.2 billion offer for London-listed video game service company Keywords Studios, with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and DLA Piper acting.
