K&L Gates' Singapore office, K&L Gates Straits Law, has hired two lawyers from DLA Piper to boost its corporate practice as the country increasingly becomes an Asian hub for large corporations.
The duo is David Kuo, a U.S.-qualified lawyer admitted in California and a foreign-registered lawyer in Singapore, and Meraj Noor, an Indian-qualified lawyer and registered foreign lawyer. Kuo was a partner at DLA Piper while Noor was the firm's India practice deputy head. Both are joining K&L Gates as partners.
