A former Dentons Canada lawyer who spent the last five years in-house at one of the country’s largest hydro companies is returning to the firm as a partner in the litigation and dispute resolution group in Montreal.

Alexandre-Philippe Avard is a skilled litigator with expertise in energy, natural resources, mining and Indigenous law. Avard first joined Dentons in 2012 as an associate, becoming a partner in 2015. In 2019, he left to go in-house at Hydro-Québec, the largest electrical utility in Canada.
