Big Law's New York Offices More Than Doubled Am Law 100 Head Count Gains
Kirkland saw another boost in Manhattan head count last year, growing by 6% to 842 lawyers and retaining its top spot as the largest firm in the state.

Most of the 100 largest law firms in New York grew their attorney head count in the state last year, as associate attrition slowed and firms relied on litigation and restructuring practices for office growth. Meanwhile, Kirkland & Ellis, for the second year in a row, had the largest attorney presence in the state.
