When Keir Starmer selected his top ministers for the cabinet following his landslide U.K. general election victory earlier this month, he was applauded for the uncharacteristically diverse and representative nature of the cabinet.

Analysis by the Sutton Trust found that out of 25 cabinet members, just one went to private school and one to grammar, with the remainder—92%—attending comprehensive school. This was in line with the national average of 93%.
