Revenue at the UK’s top law firms grew significantly in the 2023-24 financial year, with three firms—Clifford Chance, Linklaters, and Allen & Overy (prior to its merger with Shearman)—surpassing £2 billion. Many others reported double-digit growth with the results are still streaming in.
One of standout performers so far is Macfarlanes, the prestigious London law firm renowned for its high-end corporate work. The firm achieved a remarkable 24% increase in profit per equity partner, reaching £2.6 million for 2023/24, marking an exceptional year.
