London’s largest law firms are ramping up salaries for newly-qualified lawyers with pay packets soaring by up to 20% and no end to the talent wars in sight.

Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan and Gibson Dunn & Crutcher are leading the pack with £180,000 offers for so-called ‘NQs’, typically 20-something Gen Zers with an undergrad degree who’ve just finished training contracts at the law firms.
