Beleaguered property giant China Evergrande on Monday said its liquidators were seeking $6 billion from seven defendants, including founder Ka-yan Hui, and had obtained injunctions against three of them.

Clifford Chance and Hong Kong firms Tanner De Witt and Karas So were initially mandated to provide legal advice on the liquidation when proceedings against China Evergrande accelerated this year following the Hong Kong High Court’s decision to wind up the company in January.
