When UAE-based Al Tamimi opens its office in Casablanca Finance City in late 2024 it will join Clifford Chance, Baker McKenzie, and DLA Piper, making it the ninth law firm to launch in the economic center, according to the CFC’s website.

Partners see the center as an investment gateway into Africa but it’s been a slow burn since Morocco’s financial hub was launched in 2010. By 2019, Casablanca Finance City— touted as Morocco’s economic “capital”—had completed only one of its towers and COVID-19 caused further delays.
