As discussed in the first part of this series, corruption in Latin America remains a key concern for businesses operating in the region, despite increased efforts to criminalize corrupt practices and punish corrupt actors. Miller & Chevalier’s 2024 Latin America Corruption Survey, done in collaboration with 14 Latin American law firms, surveyed more than 1,000 professionals throughout Latin America and the United States, and builds on surveys from 200820122016 and 2020 to reveal the increasingly important role that corporate compliance has come to play in addressing corruption.
