A&O Shearman has hired Italian restructuring specialist Paolo Manganelli as a partner in Milan. He arrives from Ashurst, where he was a partner and head of the restructuring and special situations practice for Italy.
Manganelli earlier spent 11 years at Paul Hastings, including close to three years as a partner. Between 2004 and 2006, he was deputy head of litigation at dairy and food company Parmalat when the Parma-area company went bankrupt in the aftermath of its 2003 accounting fraud scandal.
