Singapore has launched a new and improved flagship legal research portal, LawNet Legal Research, infused for the first time with generative artificial intelligence features aimed at helping lawyers do research more efficiently.

The Singapore Academy of Law, a government-backed promotion and development agency for the country’s legal industry, unveiled LawNet AI at the annual two-day TechLaw.Fest conference on Sept. 12. LawNet AI is powered by an earlier-developed AI product called GPT-Legal, which SAL built in collaboration with the Infocomm Media Development Authority in Singapore.
