Hengeler Mueller and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer are advising on a €14.3 billion ($15.85 billion) deal by German state rail operator Deutsche Bahn AG to sell its logistics subsidiary Schenker to the Danish transport and logistics group DSV.

Hengeler is counseling Berlin-headquartered Deutsche Bahn, while Freshfields is advising DSV on the transaction which would create a global market leader in the transport and logistics sector, according to Deutsche Bahn’s statement, Clifford Chance and A&O Shearman said they advised other bidders who withdrew before the deal.
