Attorneys from elite trial litigation shop Kellogg, Hansen, Todd, Figel & Frederick have joined the plaintiffs' team in a long-running malpractice suit over Baker McKenzie's alleged ties to a Russian criminal group, after the Illinois Supreme Court last week rejected a final bid to have the case moved out of the U.S.
The lawsuit against Baker McKenzie was brought by London-based investment firm Lehram Capital, which had hired the firm to perform cross-continent legal work in a case involving the ownership of a Russian salt mine.
