Kirkland & Ellis has successfully defended the validity of a pharmaceutical company's patent in London's High Court, defeating three claimants.
The firm acted for The Regents of the University of California and the licensee, the Astellas Group, who own the key compound patent for XTANDI/enzalutamide, used in treating prostate cancer.
