King & Wood Mallesons has issued a claim against its former partner and global chief operating officer, Rupert Li.
The claim, which has been filed with the Hong Kong High Court, is for debt or liquidated demand worth approximately $1 million, according to case documents. The sum comprises three loans of HK$1 million, HK$2 million and HK$5 million granted to Li by the firm in July, August and December 2019, respectively.
