Latham & Watkins and White & Case are leading on Seplat's acquisition of Exxon Mobil's onshore asset in Nigeria, a $1.3 billion deal that finally received the go-head after almost three years.

Initially announced in February 2022, Latham & Watkins represents Exxon Mobil, while White & Case advises Seplat. Local counsel on both sides is being provided by Nigerian firms Templars, UUBO, Olaniwun Ajayi, and Streamsowers & Kohn.
