Lawyers Are Responsible (LAR), a group campaigning for law firms to cut ties to the fossil fuel industry, has said around 50 doctors and scientists took action at the London offices of each of the five ‘Magic Circle' law firms on Friday.
LAR said that the doctors and scientists were there to question the five firms—Clifford Chance, A&O Shearman, Freshfields, Linklaters and Slaughter & May—on “the role of lawyers in the climate crisis as legal advisors to and representatives of the fossil fuel industry”.
