Ropes & Gray Registers Paris Services Company Amid Talk of France Office Launch

Ropes & Gray’s New York-based chief financial officer has officially registered an eponymous French company in Paris, according to French government documents, ahead of what many expect to be an office launch in the city.
Ropes CFO Bruce Willman on Nov. 13 registered Ropes & Gray France Services as a simplified single shareholder company (Société par actions simplifiée unipersonnelle) with 1,000 euros of operating capital on the national register of companies. It stated its aim will be helping companies with their operations.
