At 21, Jasdeep Brar was six months into a gap year, working towards funding a law conversion course that would bring him one step closer towards his dream of becoming a lawyer. However, a neck injury would change the trajectory of his life forever.

“I sustained a high level spinal cord injury, which effectively means I'm paralyzed below the shoulders. I have some use of my arms and use my thumb, and that's pretty much it,” Brar says.
