NGOs are consulting lawyers over FIFA's decision to award Saudi Arabia the 2034 World Cup and say they will closely monitor migrant workers and human rights in the years leading up to the tournament.
The controversial bid has faced criticism for months, particularly an assessment report by AS&H Clifford Chance Saudi Arabia, which NGOs claim ignores evidence of the Kingdom’s human rights violations.
