Two Montreal law firms quietly announced their merger plans yesterday, a day more likely to be remembered for political chaos following Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland's dramatic resignation and public evisceration of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Tax specialists Spiegel Sohmer and Ravinsky Ryan Lemoine said they will merge into a 75-lawyer firm on January 1 under the new banner Spiegel Ryan.
