The Mexican antitrust authority has ordered the country’s largest retailer, Walmart, to end what it describes as “abusive practices” that gave the stores an unfair advantage in pricing.
For 13 years, Walmart “had a system that allowed it to impose discretionary discounts, pressuring its suppliers not to offer better prices and terms to other retailers,” Cofece said in a statement.
