Telecoms giant BT has successfully seen off a £1.3 billion class action against the company—the first full opt-out trial to take place before the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
The class representative Justin Le Patourel had sought £1.3 billion on behalf of approximately 3.7 million affected BT customers—accusing BT of abusing its “dominant position in a telecommunications market by imposing unfair prices”.
