January 1, 2025, kicks off with a burst of law firm mergers, reshaping the global legal landscape with transatlantic alliances and regional tie-ups.
The U.S. combinations are among the largest: Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders and Locke Lord combine January 1, as do Womble Bond Dickinson and Lewis Roca with a presence in the U.K. and U.S. Taft Stettinius & Hollister and Denver-founded Sherman & Howard are also merging as are Philadelphia-founded Ballard Spahr and Seattle-founded Lane Powell.
