Han Kun has hired Milbank’s capital markets partner Alex Tao in Hong Kong.
Tao’s departure comes just weeks after the U.S. firm announced the closure of its Beijing office, it’s only outfit in mainland China. His leaving will leave Milbank with approximately 20 lawyers remaining in Hong Kong including six partners, two of whom advise on capital markets transactions though neither focus on acting for Chinese issuers.
