The chair of a U.K. parliamentary committee told the general counsel for online fashion retailer Shein that her failure to answer MPs' questions about her company's supply chain "bordered on contempt".
Yinan Zhu, EMEA general counsel at Shein, was grilled by members of the Business and Trade Committee over whether online fashion retailer’s products contain cotton produced in the Xinjiang region—where widespread alleged human rights abuses against the Uyghur minority have taken place.
