Ashurst has bolstered its offering in Japan with the addition of a partner from Big Four Japanese law firm AMT.

Teruma Naito joins the firm’s projects and energy transition practice in Tokyo after more than six years at AMT. Before this, he was an associate at legacy Allen & Overy’s Tokyo office for over eight years, having also worked at the firm’s London base between 2002 and 2005, according to his LinkedIn profile.

In addition to this, he has previously worked on secondment at one of Japan’s largest general trading companies, Mitsui & Co., and as a consultant for Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
