January always sees a slew of lateral moves and this year is no exception, with McCarthy Tétrault announcing a number of new partners in Vancouver and Calgary. But the firm also lost Junior Sirivar, a notable litigator and co-chair of its international arbitration practice, to rival Blake Cassels & Graydon.

Sirivar joined Blakes' litigation and dispute resolution group as a partner in Toronto. He had been at McCarthy since he was a student almost 24 years ago.
