Canadian in-house lawyers saw almost across-the-board base salary increases last year, with half getting bumps of between 3% and 6% and another third seeing raises over 6%, a new survey has found.

But wages continue to be a motivating factor for in-house lawyers. Although 70% of survey respondents said they feel their compensation is reasonable, 92% said they would definitely or possibly leave their company for another role that paid more, according to the second Canadian In-House Lawyer Salary Report.
