If 2023 was a rebound year for White & Case, 2024 became a “breakthrough year,” the firm said. White & Case’s revenue rose by 12.5% to $3.32 billion last year, and as the equity partner tier contracted further, profits per partner surged by 27% to cross the $4 million mark for the first time ever. Net income for equity partners popped up by 17% to $1.398 billion.

The firm’s revenue per lawyer jumped nearly 11% to $1.28 million amid a 1.5% increase in total lawyer head count.

Heather McDevitt, who completed her second (and first full) year as chair of White & Case after taking over for Hugh Verrier in 2023, said that while she was of course pleased with the firm’s financial metrics, the process was what got them there.
