AkzoNobel’s decision to appeal a European ruling that communication between in-house lawyers and internal clients should not benefit from the same legal protection as that between companies and their external advisers has attracted 11 third-party interventions.

There have been 14 interventions in support of the appeal since the ruling by the European Court of First Instance last September, with 11 coming from third parties.
