Morgan, Lewis & Bockius has represented the government of Kazakhstan on a $2.5 billion sovereign bond offer.

The resource-rich Central Asian country sold the notes in one $1.5 billion tranche of 10-year bonds and one $1 billion tranche of 30-year debt. The deal was the first dollar-denominated offer from Kazakhstan since 2000, when the country issued $350 million worth of seven-year bonds.
