Allens is acting for Brazilian meat processing company JBS S.A. on its proposed $1.25 billion acquisition of Australia’s Primo Smallgoods Group. Primo Smallgoods is a leading seller of processed meat products such as ham, sausages and bacon in Australia and New Zealand. The company has 4,000 employees in five production units, seven distribution centers and 30 retail outlets. The all-cash transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
