Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher has hired an antitrust partner from Jones Day in Hong Kong.

Sébastien Evrard represents companies in merger reviews, government antitrust investigations and other contentious matters before Asian and European regulators, with an emphasis on intellectual property related issues. He joined Jones Day in 2003 and relocated to Beijing from Brussels in 2010 and had since become a partner. He moved to the firm’s Hong Kong office earlier last year as the Chinese territory readied to enforce its newly passed competition law. He had previously worked at King & Spalding, Brussels-based Simont Braun and legacy Belgium firm Loeff Claeys Verbeke (merged with Allen & Overy in 2000).
