White & Case has hired a new partner in Hong Kong.
Catherine Tsang joins from Paul Hastings where she was a Hong Kong-based corporate partner. Tsang specializes in capital markets deals and mergers and transactions. In 2014, she represented WH Group (formerly Shuanghui International), a Chinese meat processor, on a $2.4 billion initial public offering in Hong Kong. Early in 2014, she also advised Shuanghui on the company’s $966 million joint acquisition—with Sigma Alimentos SA de CV—of Spain’s Campofrio Food Group SA. She has also acted for Chinese companies such as Haitong International Securities Group Ltd., Everbright International Ltd. and Sinochem Group on Hong Kong Stock Exchange-related transactions.
