If you follow our annual Asia 100 report, you might find the names of China’s 1,004-lawyer DeHeng Law Offices and 630-lawyer Deheng Law Group confusing. Spelled the same in English transliteration—although different in the Chinese “heng” characters—the law firm names are pronounced exactly the same.
You are not alone. Both firms will agree with you. In fact, they have already been engaged in as many as 16 trademark and domain name disputes with each other since 2013.
