Beijing-based Zhong Lun Law Firm has hired a partner from Simmons & Simmons.
Alan Xu relocates to the Chinese firm’s office in Hong Kong from Shanghai where he was a partner with the U.K. firm. Xu advises multinationals on their investments in China as well as Chinese state-owned enterprises on overseas acquisitions. He has represented clients such as Hong Kong developer New World Holdings, Singaporean sovereign fund GIC and Japan’s Mitsubishi Corp. on projects and assets acquisitions in mainland China.
