Sidley Austin has hired a four-lawyer India practice team in Singapore from rival Jones Day.
Partner Manoj Bhargava joins with counsel Ankit Kashyap and two associate. Bhargava advises on capital markets deals involving Indian companies. Last year, he represented underwriters including Citigroup Global Markets and Deutsche Bank A.G. on a $1.4 billion sale of shares in state-owned Indian Oil Corp. Ltd. by the Indian government.
