At a time when the Asia market becomes increasing challenging for global firms, some firms are choosing to retreat, but Baker & McKenzie’s new Asia Pacific chair Gary Seib said his firm is more committed than ever.
Seib, who took over in October, said that the Asia Pacific region saw the highest rate of revenue growth (9 percent) within the firm last year. “I want to take that further,” said Hong Kong-based Seib, whose predecessor, Bruce Hambrett, will return to Sydney after spending a four-year term based in Singapore.
