Hopes that Cuatrecasas would join Herbert Smith’s European alliance network appear dead in the water after it emerged that the Spanish independent has taken the issue off its partnership conference agenda.
Cuatrecasas had initially scheduled a vote on whether partners wanted to join the alliance, which comprises the U.K. firm, Germany’s Gleiss Lutz and Netherlands firm Stibbe, for its partnership meeting on December 18, but the matter was already off the agenda by the time of a management meeting at the end of November.
