Clifford Chance (CC) has lost two finance partners to Slaughter and May's Italian ally Bonelli Erede Pappalardo.

Securitisation specialists Alberto del Din and Paolo Oliviero join Bonelli, one of Italy's elite independent firms, at the start of next week.

Oliverio moves over from CC's Milan office where he has been a partner since the firm's merger with Grimaldi in January.

Del Din is currently based in London where he headed the magic circle firms' London-based Italian desk after moving to the firm from Italian rival Chiomenti two years ago.

It is understood that del Din will divide his time between Bonnelli's Milan office and Slaughters' City base, further strengthening the ties between the firms.

CC, which this year secured a major Italian practice through its merger with long time joint venture partner Grimaldi, now has 14 partners based in its Milan office and 10 in Rome.

In August the firm signed an exclusive tax alliance with niche Italian tax boutique Vitali Romagnoli & Piccardi in order to gain a tax capability in the region.
