Podhurst Orseck co-founder Aaron Podhurst can trace his firm’s expertise in aviation litigation to a single event — the 1972 crash of Eastern Airlines Flight 401 in the Florida Everglades, which killed 101 people and injured dozens.
Podhurst served as lead class counsel for the victims. Since then, the Miami firm has represented victims in more than 125 crashes around the world. Half of his firm’s eight partners and five associates are dedicated to aviation work, Podhurst said, and the firm has built a global network of partner firms.
