In our recent series on the generation gap, we talked about how the work from home (WFH) debate has shifted and how law firms are trying to make the office a more attractive place to work than your home kitchen table. So it caught our eye when we saw the story about Goodwin Proctor’s new office in London and we wanted to share the lean perspective. Until Goodwin Procter moved into their swanky new offices in Paternoster Square, that corner of London was best known as the location for the restaurant-based TV show “First Date.” In this lesson, we ask whether it will be a match made in heaven for associates and clients.

It’s certainly a bold move by Proctor, into 90,000 sq ft over three floors, for currently 236 fee earners. As reported by Law.com International, the space has been fully fitted out, and includes a dance studio, a roof terrace and view of St Paul’s Cathedral.
