Pinsent Masons has hired a pair of Middle East infrastructure and energy partners from Eversheds Sutherland, including the firm's regional energy and infrastructure head Tim Armsby.

Armsby and Gurmeet Kaur will join Pinsents' finance and projects practice in Dubai, with Armsby taking responsibility for leading the firm's practice in the Middle East.

Armsby has spent six years at Eversheds after joining the firm in 2012 from Trowers & Hamlins, where he worked for 12 years across London, Oman and Egypt. While based in Abu Dhabi, he held a number of management roles at Eversheds, including serving as Abu Dhabi managing partner.

Kaur, meanwhile, has spent just under five years as a partner with Eversheds in Dubai, having previously been a partner at DLA Piper for three years and UAE projects head at Wragge & Co for two years. She acts for public and private clients with a focus on infrastructure, energy and construction projects.

The latest hires come after Pinsents bolstered its Middle Eastern presence in December via an association with Saudi Arabian law firm Alsabhan & Alajaji.
