Netherlands-based De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek has grown its revenue to £147.5m to date this year, as the firm continues to see an uptick in financial results.

The Amsterdam-based outfit has also promoted two senior associates to partner, bringing its total number to 66.

Since 2016, the firm has grown its revenue by more than 13%, with its financial year ending 31 December.

Martje Verhoeven-de Vries Lentsch and Bart de Rijke (L-R above) have been promoted, with the former joining the firm's litigation and arbitration practice; and the latter joining its EU and competition law, intellectual property law and internal investigations groups. 

De Brauw managing partner Geert Potjewijd said: "Advising on the most complex legal matters requires more than the highest levels of legal expertise; it also demands the ability to work in a team, innovate and thrive in an international setting. Martje and Bart are exceptionally talented lawyers and exemplary of just that. We are especially proud since they developed into the professionals they are today entirely from within De Brauw."

Recent significant mandates De Brauw has worked on include advising technology company Siemens' on its acquisition of Mendix for £548m, and advising Tata Steel's join venture with Thyssenkrupp.

Last month, fellow continental European heavyweight Garrigues also announced its latest partner promotion round.

The Spanish heavyweight has promoted 15 lawyers to its partnership, after boosting global revenues by 3% to €357m (£318m) during 2017-18.
