Allen & Overy has made up the head of its innovation hub Fuse to partner in its latest round of promotions.
Counsel Shruti Ajitsaria, who has led Fuse since 2017, is one of 14 London-based lawyers to make the grade in this year's promotion round.
The firm's City office has seen the bulk of the promotions, which this year have hit 34 globally.
Four female, City-based lawyers have been promoted this year, including Ajitsaria. Banking associates Catherine Lang-Anderson and Jodi Norman, and corporate associate Kate McInerney, have also been made up.
Just under a quarter of this year's 34-strong global round at the Magic Circle firm are women.
The promotions span Allen & Overy's offices internationally, with new partners across continental Europe, Asia, Washington, D.C. and the Middle East.
The firm has stated that by 2021, 30% of partner candidates must be female, and the firm is working towards a 30% target for the partnership in the longer term.
The round is significantly larger than those announced in the last two years. Last year, A&O made up 20 lawyers, while in 2017 it made up 24.
