Two McDermott Will & Emery partners have left  to join Keystone law – the latest in a succession of U.S. firm leavers to join the AIM-listed outfit.

Restructuring partner Alicia Videon and energy partner Andrew Watson have left the U.S. firm to join Keystone, a McDermott spokesperson has confirmed.

A partner at McDermott since 2016, Videon was previously head of restructuring and insolvency at legacy Olswang for more than eight years, leaving the firm just after its three-way merger with CMS and Nabarro in May 2016. Before that, she spent three years as a partner at DLA Piper.

She has taken lead roles on several standout deals, including advising the senior lenders to the owners of the Citi Tower in Canary Wharf on the restructuring of £1.6 billion of debt in 2013.

Watson has been a partner at McDermott since 2000, focusing on project development and finance, oil and gas, infrastructure, and telecoms.

The news comes just five months after fellow McDermott restructuring partner Alan Gar made the same move. Gar left the U.S. firm's City base last March after just a year, and joined Keystone in December.

A statement from McDermott said: "McDermott confirms that finance partner Andrew Watson and restructuring partner Alicia Videon have left the firm to pursue their careers at Keystone Law and we wish them well."

Keystone Law made another high-profile hire last month with the addition of Brown Rudnick partner Alexander Carter-Silk.
