Ashurst has asked a Munich-based partner and member of its global board to leave the firm over a conduct issue, the firm announced in a statement Tuesday.

In a statement, the firm said: "Bernd Egbers, a partner in our Munich office, has been asked by our board to leave the firm, as a result of conduct which is contrary to our values. There is no connection with any client or client matter. Given the interests of those involved, we will not be commenting further."
